Awesome, will be getting another one.

I purchase this just in case, as I do live in Texas and we had the grid go down for day earlier this year. I was bored one day and took it out to test it. I fell in love with it lol. The radio quality is top knock, every bell and whistle worked great, I tested the solar charge, and the hand crank they are awesome, this little thing is now on my work desk and used daily for the radio. I crank it for about 5 minutes a day and the radio plays for my whole work shift which is 9 hrs a day. I love it.

A great product for power outages, storms

With hurricane season coming up I wanted to add to my preparations and realized I wanted a crank radio. Just got this one and it exceeds my expectations. I love the reading lamp. And the flashlight is brighter than I anticipated. Really lit up my television room well. I found the sound quality and the volume to excellent. I feel much better knowing I will be able to get weather updates if my power goes out.

A very dependable radio

I'm really impressed with this radio. it is packed with features that I would most need in an emergency situation. I live in California so I like to stay prepared in case of an earthquake (the last big one I experienced was the Loma Prieta quake in 1989) and I know this radio will be an important item in my prep supplies. I did not have access to an emergency channel then and it was awful not knowing what was going on. I did not have a cell phone in those days and the phone lines got so jammed up that they were inoperable. I really appreciate a way to charge my cell phone and the sound of the radio is really great. If needed, the SOS alarm is super loud (and scared the heck out of my cats). All of the features work as promised. It was delivered quickly and was securely packaged.

Just added this to my emergency supplies

Opened up the box, took it out, turned it on and had a radio signal going through channels. Lights came on which are very bright. All 3 settings for lights were bright. Reading lamp on top was good as well. Easy to crank for that first charge to activate batteries after what I'd assume it sat for a while. Solar charging panel is in one piece. Volume is pretty nice too. Green light indicator when you get a channel helps find a channel as you go through them. Antenna has a good reach. Like the smooth edges and clean colors. It has some weight to it which isnt a burden to hold, but lets you remember you have it in your hand. I'm afraid to use the SOS cause if its as loud as what the radio can get, I dont want to be deaf just trying it. I will eventually. But just experiencing the products other features, I can say I trust it will be good to go. Glad I made the purchase.

Wonderful to have during a tornado warning!

This is a great radio. I've tried several over the years, and I think I either get off brands or cheap ones that don't work. But this one is far superior to all of those. I use it all the time to listen to the news on my back porch, but last night, it really came in handy. I live in the Midwest so we have tornado warnings. Last night, we got one at 1 am. My phone alarm woke me up, but the first thing I grabbed (along with a lantern, bottle of water, and my phone) was this radio. I was downstairs in the basement for almost two hours and the radio never failed me. The power did - it went out within half an hour of the tornado warning, but the radio kept me informed as to the progress of the storm, and when the all clear was sounded. I highly recommend this radio. I've had it for several months, so I can't speak for its longevity, but so far, it has done everything I've needed from it. If you are looking for a good weather radio that you can also listen to on the go, this is a good one!
