I am incredibly pleased with this set at this price point. They are larger than I expected but a good scale for mounted work by hand and sharp enough to finish and detail whittles if you choke up on the blade using a rag. I am unsure if the handles would mallet into hardwood well, but the steel is excellent. It resembles blade steel and holds its edge well. Not sure what it is made from tho... The scorps are especially well designed and a great combination. If these all continue to strop back as well and hold up it is an impressive value.

Probably the most durable and value for your money,, I would have easily given up 2 or 3 hundred dollars for the set that tools sent to my wife. They have cut through pine, oak, and cedar wood for carving without any needed sharpening or other issues.
I had already bought her two other cheap sets prior to this one ( I should have just started with this one and bought her wood as well) she had broken the 2 sets within the first week.
Not with the set it's held up to the worst she can dish out. Thank you so much for your amazing tools.

After receiving them I did a quick inspection and was very impressed with their overall quality. They are made of very good, hardened metal and the handles all had very good fit and finish.The tools were fairly sharp right out of the package but did require more sharpening and polishing (which took longer than I expected due to the hardness of the metal) to bring them up to the sharpness level that I require for wood carving. I am very pleased with their quality and after my additional sharpening and polishing I would put them up against the high dollar big name brands of carving tools and I feel they would meet or exceed their performance.

this is the second set of tools that my husband bought .the first set was palm chisels were palm chisels,very hard to use and didn't have all the tools he needed. this set was very reasonable priced compared to the ones he looked at. the first time he used them he was VERY happy the way his first project turned out. these tools are very high quality and worth every penny they ask for. when these wear out,,,,,,if they do this will be a second purchase of the same set. all I can say is these chisels are very sharp right after opening .

Seriously, these sculpting tools exceeded my expectations. The quality of steel and solid feel can’t be matched for the price. They are just as solid and feel just as balanced as $400-$500 set of Swiss made tools.
I am very well pleased with my purchase and I would definitely recommend these to any beginner or intermediate sculptor. I would even think that advanced and master sculptor could appreciate the quality and functionality of these tools.
